The translators were merely pointing out the ετροποφοπησεν and ετροφοφορησεν were similar and that the readings could be mistaken for each other at times, creating a false definition and a false context. Notice Berg says that "The Marginal note once again introduces some doubt by the KJV translators", as if these are readings they didn't know the correct reading of. He then makes the fantastic claim that "They weren’t sure whether to follow the Greek texts of Acts they had, or to correct them on the basis of the LXX translation of the Deuteronomy passage which they had." Berg creates a conspiracy theory about this and claims "In this case, an LXX reading of the OT passage that was different than the text of Acts as they had it made them less than certain about which text Luke had actually quoted. So, they noted their uncertainty in the margin.
