永井訳　また彼は復び会堂に入り来り給へり、また萎なえたる手をもつ人ありき。

新改訳　イエスはまた会堂にはいられた。そこに片手のなえた人がいた。

And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand.

２ 

１、永井訳　されば人々、彼は安息日にこれを癒すならんかと窺へり、是れ彼を訴ふるためなり。

２、新改訳　彼らはイエスが安息日にその人を直すかどうか、じっと見ていた。イエスを訴えるためであった。 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.

３ 

永井訳　かくて彼は萎えた手をもつ人に云い給ふ、真中に起てろ。

新改訳　イエスは手のなえたその人に、「立って、真中に出なさい。」と言われた。

And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.

４　

永井訳　また彼等に云ひ給ふ、安息日に善を為すことは律しきや。或は悪を為すことか、魂を救ふことか、或は殺すことか。然るに彼等は黙したり。

新改訳　それから彼らに、「安息日にしてよいのは、善を行うことなのか、それとも悪を行うことなのか。いのちを救うことなのか、それとも殺すことなのか。」と言われた。彼らは黙っていた。

And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.

永井訳　乃ち彼は怒をもて彼等を看回し、その新の頑かたくななるを哀しみ、かの人に云い給ふ、汝の手を伸べよ。乃ち彼は伸べしに、その手は別の〔手〕の 如くに健すこやかに直なれり。

新改訳　イエスは怒って彼らを見回し、その心のかたくななのを嘆きながら、その人に、「手を伸ばしなさい。」と言われた。彼は手を伸ばした。するとその手が元どおりになった。

And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

永井訳　さればパリサイの人々直(ただち)に出で来りて、ヘロデ党の人々と共に、如 何にしてこれを亡ぼさんかと、彼に逆らひて協議を為せり。

新改訳　そこでパリサイ人たちは出て行って、すぐにヘロデ党の者たちといっしょにな って、イエスをどうして葬り去ろうかと相談を始めた。

And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

永井訳　またイエス、弟子等と共に海の方へと立ち退き給へり、サレバガリラヤより の夥しき大衆、彼に従へり。またユダヤより、

新改訳　それから、イエスは弟子たちとともに湖のほうに退かれた。すると、ガリラヤ かれ出て来た大ぜいの人々がついて行った。また、ユダヤから、

But Jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea: and a great multitude from Galilee followed him, and from Judaea,

永井訳　マタエロソルマより、またイドミヤ並にヨルダンの向側よりの〔大衆彼に従へ り〕、且つツロとシドンの廻りの夥しき大衆も、その為し給ひし多くの事を聞き て、彼の許に到れり。

新改訳　エルサレムから、イドマヤから、ヨルダンの川向こうやツロ、シドンあたりか ら、大ぜいの人々が、イエスの行っておられることを聞いて、みもとにやって 来た。

And from Jerusalem, and from Idumaea, and from beyond Jordan; and they about Tyre and Sidon, a great multitude, when they had heard what great things he did, came unto him.

９　　

永井訳　乃ち彼は群集のゆゑに、彼にその押し迫ることなからんために、小舟を備ふ るやう、弟子等に曰へり。

新改訳　イエスは、大ぜいの人なので、押し寄せて来ないよう、ご自分のために小舟 を用意しておくように弟子たちに言いつけられた。

And he spake to his disciples, that a small ship should wait on him because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

１０  

永井訳　そは彼は多くの者を癒し給ひたれば、すべて病苦ある者は彼に捫らんとて、 押し迫りたればなり。

新改訳　それは、多くの人をいやされたので、病気に悩む人たちがみな、イエスにさ わろうとして、みもとに押しかけて来たからである。

For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

永井訳　また不浄なる霊ども彼を看しとき、その前に伏し且つ叫びて、云へり、汝は 神の子におはすと。

新改訳　また、汚れた霊どもが、イエスを見ると、みもとにひれ伏し、「あなたこそ神の子です。」と叫ぶのであった。

And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.

１２ 

永井訳　されば彼は己を顕はさしめぬやう、彼等をくれぐれも戒め給へり。

新改訳　イエスは、ご自身のことを知らせないようにと、きびしく彼らを戒められた。

And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known.

１３

永井訳　また彼は山に登り、且つ己の好しとし給ひし者を召し給ふ、乃ち彼等はその 許に往けり。

新改訳　さて、イエスは山に登り、ご自身のお望みになる者たちを呼び寄せられたの で、彼らはももとに来た。

And he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.

１４ 

永井訳　かくて彼は己と共に在らしむため、またこれを使はして宣べしむるため、

新改訳　そこでイエスは十二弟子を任命された。それは、彼らを身近に置き、また彼らを遣わして福音を宣べさせ、

And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to preach,

永井訳　また疾を癒し、また悪鬼を追い出す権(ちから)をもたしむるために、十二を 挙げ給へり。

新改訳　悪霊を追い出す権威を持たせるためであった。 And to have power to heal sicknesses, and to cast out devils:

１６ 

永井訳　即ち彼はシモンにペテロ〔という〕名を加へ、

新改訳　こうして、イエスは十二弟子を任命された。そして、シモンにはペテロという名をつけ、

And Simon he surnamed Peter;

１７

永井訳　またゼベダイの〔子〕ヤコブとヤコブの兄弟なるヨハネ、彼等にボアルネゲ。即ち雷の子〔といふ〕名を加へ給へり。

新改訳　ゼベダイの子ヤコブとヤコブの兄弟ヨハネ、このふたりにはボアルネゲ、すなわち、雷の子という名をつけられた。

And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

永井訳　またアンデレ、またピリポ、またバルトロマイ、またマタイ、またトマス、またアルバイの〔子〕なるヤコブ、またタッダイ、またカナン人なるシモン、

新改訳　次に、アンデレ、ピリポ、バルトロマイ、マタイ、トマス、アルパヨの子ヤコブ、タダイ、熱心党員シモン、

And Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,

永井訳　また彼を付(わた)したるイスカリヲテのユダ〔なり〕。

新改訳　イスカリオテのユダ。このユダが、イエスを裏切ったのである。

And Judas Iscariot, which also betrayed him: and they went into an house.

２０

永井訳　かくて彼等は家に来れり。乃ち群集復た集まり来れり、されば彼等はパンを喰ふことさへ能はざりき。

新改訳　イエスが言えに戻られると、また大ぜいの人が集まって来たので、になは食事をする暇もなかった。

And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.

２１　 

永井訳　然るに彼の近しき人々聞きて、彼を捉へんとて出で来たれり、そは人々、彼は狂気せり、と云ひたればなり。

新改訳　イエスの身内の者たちが聞いて、イエスを連れ戻しに出て来た。「気が狂ったのだ。」と言う人たちがいたからである。

And when his friends heard of it, they went out to lay hold on him: for they said, He is beside himself.

２２

永井訳　またエロソルマより下り来りし学者等、彼はベルブベルに憑かれたり、と云ひ、また、悪鬼の長もて彼は悪鬼を逐ひ出だす、と〔云へり〕。

新改訳　また、エルサレムから下って来た律法学者たちも、「彼はベルゼブルに取りつかれている。」と言い、「悪霊どものかしらによって、悪霊どもを追いだしいるのだ。」とも言った。

And the scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

２３

永井訳　されば彼は彼等を召して、喩にてこれに云ひ給へり、如何にしてサタナはサタナを逐ひ出すことを得るや。

新改訳　そこでイエスは彼らをそばに呼んで、たとえによって話サレタ。「サタンがどうしてサタンを追い出せましょう。

And he called them unto him, and said unto them in parables, How can Satan cast out Satan?

２４ 

永井訳　また国もし己自らに逆らひて分れ争はば、その国立つこと能はず。

新改訳　もし国が内部で分裂したら、その国は立ち行きません。

And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

２５ 

永井訳　また言えもし己自らに逆らいて分れ争はば、その家立つこと能はず、

新改訳　また、家が内輪もめをしたら、家は立ち行きません。

And if a house be divided against itself, that house cannot stand.

２６ 

永井訳　またサタナもし己自らに逆らひて立ち上がり、且つ分れ争はば、彼立つこと能はず、されど終あり。

新改訳　サタンも、もし内輪の争いが起こって分裂していれば、立ち行くことができないで滅びます。

And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.

２７

永井訳　誰も先ず強き者を縛らずば、その家に入りて、強き者の器具を奪ふこと能はず、さればそのとき、その家を奪ふべし。

新改訳　確かに、強い人の家に押し入って家財を略奪するには、まずその強い人を縛り上げなければなりません。そのあとでその家を略奪できるのです。

No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house.

２８

永井訳　誠(まこと)にわれ彼等に云はん、しべて人の子等に〔犯せる〕罪と冒しし冒は赦さるべし。　　　　　　　

新改訳　まことに、あなたがたに告げます。人はその犯すどんな罪も赦していただけます。また、神をけがすことを言っても、それはみな赦していただけます。

Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:

２９ 

永井訳　されど誰にても、聖なる霊に逆らひて冒す者は、いつまでも赦されず、されど恒(とこしへ)の裁に当るなり。

新改訳　しかし、聖霊をけがす者はだれでも、永遠に赦されず、とこしえの罪に定められます。」

But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

３０ 

永井訳　そは人々、彼は不浄なる霊に憑かれたり、と云ひたるが故なり。

新改訳　このように言われたには、彼らが、「イエスは、汚れた霊につかれている。」と言っていたからである。

Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

３１

永井訳　是の故に彼の兄弟等と母と来りて、外に立ちつつ〔人を〕使はして彼を呼べり。

新改訳　さて、イエスの母と兄弟たちが来て、外に立っていて、人をやり、イエスを呼ばせた。

There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him.

３２

永井訳　然るに群集その囲に坐せり、されば人々彼にいへり、見よ、汝の母と汝の兄弟等と外にて汝を索む。

新改訳　大ぜいの人がイエスを囲んですわっていたが、「ご覧なさい。あなたのおかあさんと兄弟たちが」、外であなたをたずねています。」と言った。

And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

３３ 

永井訳　乃ち彼等に答へて、云ひ給ひけるは、我が母また我が兄弟等は誰なるや。

新改訳　すると、イエスは彼らに答えて言われた。「わたしの母とはだれのことですか。また、兄弟たちとはだれのことですか。」

And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

３４

永井訳　かくてそのまわりに坐せる人々を一とまわる看回して、彼云ひ給ふ、見よ、我が母また我が兄弟等〔なり〕。

新改訳　そして、自分の周りにすわっている人たちを見回して言われた。「ご覧なさい。わたしの母、わたしの兄弟たちです。

And he looked round about on them which sat about him, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!

３５ 

永井訳　そは誰にても、神の意を為す者、此の者は我が兄弟また我が姉妹また母なればなり。

新改訳　神のみこころを行う人はだれでも、わたしの兄弟、姉妹、また母なのです。」

For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.
