Commentary

(kai ‘and’) or a comma

The King James Version has:

“...and fellowship, and in breaking of bread...”

Modern Greek texts do not have the καί, but replace it with the comma. The 3rd edition of the UBS GNT does not even reference the variant reading. The Textus Receptus of Stephanus, Scrivener, 1904 Greek Orthodox, has basically:

τῶν ἀποστόλων καὶ τῇ κοινωνίᾳ, καὶ τῇ κλάσει (Scrivener 1894)

whereas the critical text (1881, or Westcott and Hort, 1904 Nestle's, NA27, Tischendorf 8th) replaces the καὶ with a comma:

τῶν ἀποστόλων καὶ τῇ κοινωνίᾳ, τῇ κλάσει
