Leviticus

Jos 6:26 And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this city <05892> Jericho: he shall lay the foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it. Jos 8:1 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city <05892>, and his land: Jos 8:2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city <05892> behind it. Jos 8:4 And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city <05892>, even behind the city <05892>: go not very far from the city <05892>, but be ye all ready: Jos 8:5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city <05892>: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them, Jos 8:6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city <05892>; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them. Jos 8:7 Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city <05892>: for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand. Jos 8:8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city <05892>, that ye shall set the city <05892> on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you. Jos 8:11 And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city <05892>, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai. Jos 8:12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city <05892>. Jos 8:13 And when they had set the people, even all the host that was on the north of the city <05892>, and their liers in wait on the west of the city <05892>, Joshua went that night into the midst of the valley. Jos 8:14 And it came to pass, when the king of Ai saw it, that they hasted and rose up early, and the men of the city <05892> went out against Israel to battle, he and all his people, at a time appointed, before the plain; but he wist not that there were liers in ambush against him behind the city <05892>. Jos 8:16 And all the people that were in Ai <05892> were called together to pursue after them: and they pursued after Joshua, and were drawn away from the city <05892>. Jos 8:17 And there was not a man left in Ai or Bethel, that went not out after Israel: and they left the city <05892> open, and pursued after Israel. Jos 8:18 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city <05892>. Jos 8:19 And the ambush arose quickly out of their place, and they ran as soon as he had stretched out his hand: and they entered into the city <05892>, and took it, and hasted and set the city <05892> on fire. Jos 8:20 And when the men of Ai looked behind them, they saw, and, behold, the smoke of the city <05892> ascended up to heaven, and they had no power to flee this way or that way: and the people that fled to the wilderness turned back upon the pursuers. Jos 8:21 And when Joshua and all Israel saw that the ambush had taken the city <05892>, and that the smoke of the city <05892> ascended, then they turned again, and slew the men of Ai. Jos 8:22 And the other issued out of the city <05892> against them; so they were in the midst of Israel, some on this side, and some on that side: and they smote them, so that they let none of them remain or escape. Jos 8:27 Only the cattle and the spoil of that city <05892> Israel took for a prey unto themselves, according unto the word of the LORD which he commanded Joshua. Jos 8:29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city <05892>, and raise thereon a great heap of stones, that remaineth unto this day. Jos 9:17 And the children of Israel journeyed, and came unto their cities <05892> on the third day. Now their cities <05892> were Gibeon, and Chephirah, and Beeroth, and Kirjathjearim. Jos 10:2 That they feared greatly, because Gibeon was a great city <05892>, as one of the royal cities <05892>, and because it was greater than Ai, and all the men thereof were mighty. Jos 10:19 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities <05892>: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand. Jos 10:20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest which remained of them entered into fenced cities <05892>. Jos 10:37 And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities <05892> thereof, and all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed it utterly, and all the souls that were therein. Jos 10:39 And he took it, and the king thereof, and all the cities <05892> thereof; and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and utterly destroyed all the souls that were therein; he left none remaining: as he had done to Hebron, so he did to Debir, and to the king thereof; as he had done also to Libnah, and to her king. Jos 11:12 And all the cities <05892> of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, and he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded. Jos 11:13 But as for the cities <05892> that stood still in their strength, Israel burned none of them, save Hazor only; that did Joshua burn. Jos 11:14 And all the spoil of these cities <05892>, and the cattle, the children of Israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe. Jos 11:19 There was not a city <05892> that made peace with the children of Israel, save the Hivites the inhabitants of Gibeon: all other they took in battle. Jos 11:21 And at that time came Joshua, and cut off the Anakims from the mountains, from Hebron, from Debir, from Anab, and from all the mountains of Judah, and from all the mountains of Israel: Joshua destroyed them utterly with their cities <05892>. Jos 13:9 From Aroer, that is upon the bank of the river Arnon, and the city <05892> that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain of Medeba unto Dibon; Jos 13:10 And all the cities <05892> of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, unto the border of the children of Ammon; Jos 13:16 And their coast was from Aroer, that is on the bank of the river Arnon, and the city <05892> that is in the midst of the river, and all the plain by Medeba; Jos 13:17 Heshbon, and all her cities <05892> that are in the plain; Dibon, and Bamothbaal, and Bethbaalmeon, Jos 13:21 And all the cities <05892> of the plain, and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, which reigned in Heshbon, whom Moses smote with the princes of Midian, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, which were dukes of Sihon, dwelling in the country. Jos 13:23 And the border of the children of Reuben was Jordan, and the border thereof. This was the inheritance of the children of Reuben after their families, the cities <05892> and the villages thereof. Jos 13:25 And their coast was Jazer, and all the cities <05892> of Gilead, and half the land of the children of Ammon, unto Aroer that is before Rabbah; Jos 13:28 This is the inheritance of the children of Gad after their families, the cities <05892>, and their villages. Jos 13:30 And their coast was from Mahanaim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, threescore cities <05892>: Jos 13:31 And half Gilead, and Ashtaroth, and Edrei, cities <05892> of the kingdom of Og in Bashan, were pertaining unto the children of Machir the son of Manasseh, even to the one half of the children of Machir by their families. Jos 14:4 For the children of Joseph were two tribes, Manasseh and Ephraim: therefore they gave no part unto the Levites in the land, save cities <05892> to dwell in, with their suburbs for their cattle and for their substance. Jos 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities <05892> were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said. Jos 15:9 And the border was drawn from the top of the hill unto the fountain of the water of Nephtoah, and went out to the cities <05892> of mount Ephron; and the border was drawn to Baalah, which is Kirjathjearim: Jos 15:21 And the uttermost cities <05892> of the tribe of the children of Judah toward the coast of Edom southward were Kabzeel, and Eder, and Jagur, Jos 15:32 And Lebaoth, and Shilhim, and Ain, and Rimmon: all the cities <05892> are twenty and nine, with their villages: Jos 15:36 And Sharaim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim; fourteen cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:41 And Gederoth, Bethdagon, and Naamah, and Makkedah; sixteen cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:44 And Keilah, and Achzib, and Mareshah; nine cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:51 And Goshen, and Holon, and Giloh; eleven cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:54 And Humtah, and Kirjatharba, which is Hebron, and Zior; nine cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:57 Cain, Gibeah, and Timnah; ten cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:59 And Maarath, and Bethanoth, and Eltekon; six cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:60 Kirjathbaal, which is Kirjathjearim, and Rabbah; two cities <05892> with their villages: Jos 15:62 And Nibshan, and the city of Salt, and Engedi; six cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 16:9 And the separate cities <05892> for the children of Ephraim were among the inheritance of the children of Manasseh, all the cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 17:9 And the coast descended unto the river Kanah, southward of the river: these cities <05892> of Ephraim are among the cities <05892> of Manasseh: the coast of Manasseh also was on the north side of the river, and the outgoings of it were at the sea: Jos 17:12 Yet the children of Manasseh could not drive out the inhabitants of those cities <05892>; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land. Jos 18:9 And the men went and passed through the land, and described it by cities <05892> into seven parts in a book, and came again to Joshua to the host at Shiloh. This is the inheritance of the children of Benjamin according to their families. Jos 19:6 And Bethlebaoth, and Sharuhen; thirteen cities <05892> and their villages: Jos 19:7 Ain, Remmon, and Ether, and Ashan; four cities <05892> and their villages: Jos 19:8 And all the villages that were round about these cities <05892> to Baalathbeer, Ramath of the south. This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Simeon according to their families. Jos 19:15 And Kattath, and Nahallal, and Shimron, and Idalah, and Bethlehem: twelve cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:16 This is the inheritance of the children of Zebulun according to their families, these cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:22 And the coast reacheth to Tabor, and Shahazimah, and Bethshemesh; and the outgoings of their border were at Jordan: sixteen cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:23 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities <05892> and their villages. Jos 19:29 And then the coast turneth to Ramah, and to the strong city <05892> Tyre; and the coast turneth to Hosah; and the outgoings thereof are at the sea from the coast to Achzib: Jos 19:30 Ummah also, and Aphek, and Rehob: twenty and two cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:31 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Asher according to their families, these cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:35 And the fenced cities <05892> are Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath, and Chinnereth, Jos 19:38 And Iron, and Migdalel, Horem, and Bethanath, and Bethshemesh; nineteen cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:39 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Naphtali according to their families, the cities <05892> and their villages. Jos 19:48 This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan according to their families, these cities <05892> with their villages. Jos 19:50 According to the word of the LORD they gave him the city <05892> which he asked, even Timnathserah in mount Ephraim: and he built the city <05892>, and dwelt therein. Jos 20:2 Speak to the children of Israel, saying, Appoint out for you cities <05892> of refuge, whereof I spake unto you by the hand of Moses: Jos 20:4 And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities <05892> shall stand at the entering of the gate of the city <05892>, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the elders of that city <05892>, they shall take him into the city <05892> unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them. Jos 20:6 And he shall dwell in that city <05892>, until he stand before the congregation for judgment, and until the death of the high priest that shall be in those days: then shall the slayer return, and come unto his own city <05892>, and unto his own house, unto the city <05892> from whence he fled. Jos 20:9 These were the cities <05892> appointed for all the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them, that whosoever killeth any person at unawares might flee thither, and not die by the hand of the avenger of blood, until he stood before the congregation. Jos 21:2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities <05892> to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle. Jos 21:3 And the children of Israel gave unto the Levites out of their inheritance, at the commandment of the LORD, these cities <05892> and their suburbs. Jos 21:4 And the lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, which were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities <05892>. Jos 21:5 And the rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh, ten cities <05892>. Jos 21:6 And the children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities <05892>. Jos 21:7 The children of Merari by their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities <05892>. Jos 21:8 And the children of Israel gave by lot unto the Levites these cities <05892> with their suburbs, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses. Jos 21:9 And they gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities <05892> which are here mentioned by name, Jos 21:12 But the fields of the city <05892>, and the villages thereof, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession. Jos 21:13 Thus they gave to the children of Aaron the priest Hebron with her suburbs, to be a city <05892> of refuge for the slayer; and Libnah with her suburbs, Jos 21:16 And Ain with her suburbs, and Juttah with her suburbs, and Bethshemesh with her suburbs; nine cities <05892> out of those two tribes. Jos 21:18 Anathoth with her suburbs, and Almon with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:19 All the cities <05892> of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities <05892> with their suburbs. Jos 21:20 And the families of the children of Kohath, the Levites which remained of the children of Kohath, even they had the cities <05892> of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim. Jos 21:21 For they gave them Shechem with her suburbs in mount Ephraim, to be a city <05892> of refuge for the slayer; and Gezer with her suburbs, Jos 21:22 And Kibzaim with her suburbs, and Bethhoron with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:24 Aijalon with her suburbs, Gathrimmon with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:25 And out of the half tribe of Manasseh, Tanach with her suburbs, and Gathrimmon with her suburbs; two cities <05892>. Jos 21:26 All the cities <05892> were ten with their suburbs for the families of the children of Kohath that remained. Jos 21:27 And unto the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the other half tribe of Manasseh they gave Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, to be a city <05892> of refuge for the slayer; and Beeshterah with her suburbs; two cities <05892>. Jos 21:29 Jarmuth with her suburbs, Engannim with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:31 Helkath with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:32 And out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, to be a city <05892> of refuge for the slayer; and Hammothdor with her suburbs, and Kartan with her suburbs; three cities <05892>. Jos 21:33 All the cities <05892> of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities <05892> with their suburbs. Jos 21:35 Dimnah with her suburbs, Nahalal with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:37 Kedemoth with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs; four cities <05892>. Jos 21:38 And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, to be a city <05892> of refuge for the slayer; and Mahanaim with her suburbs, Jos 21:39 Heshbon with her suburbs, Jazer with her suburbs; four cities <05892> in all. Jos 21:40 So all the cities <05892> for the children of Merari by their families, which were remaining of the families of the Levites, were by their lot twelve cities <05892>. Jos 21:41 All the cities <05892> of the Levites within the possession of the children of Israel were forty and eight cities <05892> with their suburbs. Jos 21:42 These cities <05892> were every one <05892> <05892> with their suburbs round about them: thus were all these cities <05892>. Jos 24:13 And I have given you a land for which ye did not labour, and cities <05892> which ye built not, and ye dwell in them; of the vineyards and oliveyards which ye planted not do ye eat. Jud 1:25 And when he shewed them the entrance into the city <05892>, they smote the city <05892> with the edge of the sword; but they let go the man and all his family. Jud 1:26 And the man went into the land of the Hittites, and built a city <05892>, and called the name thereof Luz: which is the name thereof unto this day. Jud 3:13 And he gathered unto him the children of Ammon and Amalek, and went and smote Israel, and possessed the city <05892> of palm trees. Jud 6:27 Then Gideon took ten men of his servants, and did as the LORD had said unto him: and so it was, because he feared his father’s household, and the men of the city <05892>, that he could not do it by day, that he did it by night. Jud 6:28 And when the men of the city <05892> arose early in the morning, behold, the altar of Baal was cast down, and the grove was cut down that was by it, and the second bullock was offered upon the altar that was built. Jud 6:30 Then the men of the city <05892> said unto Joash, Bring out thy son, that he may die: because he hath cast down the altar of Baal, and because he hath cut down the grove that was by it. Jud 8:16 And he took the elders of the city <05892>, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth. Jud 8:27 And Gideon made an ephod thereof, and put it in his city <05892>, even in Ophrah: and all Israel went thither a whoring after it: which thing became a snare unto Gideon, and to his house. Jud 9:30 And when Zebul the ruler of the city <05892> heard the words of Gaal the son of Ebed, his anger was kindled. Jud 9:31 And he sent messengers unto Abimelech privily, saying, Behold, Gaal the son of Ebed and his brethren be come to Shechem; and, behold, they fortify the city <05892> against thee. Jud 9:33 And it shall be, that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set upon the city <05892>: and, behold, when he and the people that is with him come out against thee, then mayest thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion. Jud 9:35 And Gaal the son of Ebed went out, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city <05892>: and Abimelech rose up, and the people that were with him, from lying in wait. Jud 9:43 And he took the people, and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked, and, behold, the people were come forth out of the city <05892>; and he rose up against them, and smote them. Jud 9:44 And Abimelech, and the company that was with him, rushed forward, and stood in the entering of the gate of the city <05892>: and the two other companies ran upon all the people that were in the fields, and slew them. Jud 9:45 And Abimelech fought against the city <05892> all that day; and he took the city <05892>, and slew the people that was therein, and beat down the city <05892>, and sowed it with salt. Jud 9:51 But there was a strong tower within the city <05892>, and thither fled all the men and women, and all they of the city <05892>, and shut it to them, and gat them up to the top of the tower. Jud 10:4 And he had thirty sons that rode on thirty ass colts, and they had thirty cities <05892>, which are called Havothjair unto this day, which are in the land of Gilead. Jud 11:26 While Israel dwelt in Heshbon and her towns, and in Aroer and her towns, and in all the cities <05892> that be along by the coasts of Arnon, three hundred years? why therefore did ye not recover them within that time? Jud 11:33 And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities <05892>, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel. Jud 12:7 And Jephthah judged Israel six years. Then died Jephthah the Gileadite, and was buried in one of the cities <05892> of Gilead. Jud 14:18 And the men of the city <05892> said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle. Jud 16:2 And it was told the Gazites, saying, Samson is come hither. And they compassed him in, and laid wait for him all night in the gate of the city <05892>, and were quiet all the night, saying, In the morning, when it is day, we shall kill him. Jud 16:3 And Samson lay till midnight, and arose at midnight, and took the doors of the gate of the city <05892>, and the two posts, and went away with them, bar and all, and put them upon his shoulders, and carried them up to the top of an hill that is before Hebron. Jud 17:8 And the man departed out of the city <05892> from Bethlehemjudah to sojourn where he could find a place: and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. Jud 18:27 And they took the things which Micah had made, and the priest which he had, and came unto Laish, unto a people that were at quiet and secure: and they smote them with the edge of the sword, and burnt the city <05892> with fire. Jud 18:28 And there was no deliverer, because it was far from Zidon, and they had no business with any man; and it was in the valley that lieth by Bethrehob. And they built a city <05892>, and dwelt therein. Jud 18:29 And they called the name of the city <05892> Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born unto Israel: howbeit the name of the city <05892> was Laish at the first. Jud 19:11 And when they were by Jebus, the day was far spent; and the servant said unto his master, Come, I pray thee, and let us turn in into this city <05892> of the Jebusites, and lodge in it. Jud 19:12 And his master said unto him, We will not turn aside hither into the city <05892> of a stranger, that is not of the children of Israel; we will pass over to Gibeah. Jud 19:15 And they turned aside thither, to go in and to lodge in Gibeah: and when he went in, he sat him down in a street of the city <05892>: for there was no man that took them into his house to lodging. Jud 19:17 And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city <05892>: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou? Jud 19:22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city <05892>, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring forth the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. Jud 20:11 So all the men of Israel were gathered against the city <05892>, knit together as one man. Jud 20:14 But the children of Benjamin gathered themselves together out of the cities <05892> unto Gibeah, to go out to battle against the children of Israel. Jud 20:15 And the children of Benjamin were numbered at that time out of the cities <05892> twenty and six thousand men that drew sword, beside the inhabitants of Gibeah, which were numbered seven hundred chosen men. Jer 14:18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city <05892>, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not. Jer 19:8 And I will make this city <05892> desolate, and an hissing; every one that passeth thereby shall be astonished and hiss because of all the plagues thereof. Jer 19:11 And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city <05892>, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury. Jer 19:12 Thus will I do unto this place, saith the LORD, and to the inhabitants thereof, and even make this city <05892> as Tophet: Jer 19:15 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city <05892> and upon all her towns <05892> all the evil that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words. Jer 20:5 Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city <05892>, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. Jer 20:16 And let that man be as the cities <05892> which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide; Jer 21:4 Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city <05892>. Jer 21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this city <05892>, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. Jer 21:7 And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city <05892> from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. Jer 21:9 He that abideth in this city <05892> shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. Jer 21:10 For I have set my face against this city <05892> for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. Jer 22:6 For thus saith the LORD unto the king’s house of Judah; Thou art Gilead unto me, and the head of Lebanon: yet surely I will make thee a wilderness, and cities <05892> which are not inhabited. Jer 22:8 And many nations shall pass by this city <05892>, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city <05892>? Jer 23:39 Therefore, behold, I, even I, will utterly forget you, and I will forsake you, and the city <05892> that I gave you and your fathers, and cast you out of my presence: Jer 25:18 To wit, Jerusalem, and the cities <05892> of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, an hissing, and a curse; as it is this day; Jer 25:29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city <05892> which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Jer 26:9 Why hast thou prophesied in the name of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city <05892> shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD. Jer 26:11 Then spake the priests and the prophets unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die; for he hath prophesied against this city <05892>, as ye have heard with your ears. Jer 26:12 Then spake Jeremiah unto all the princes and to all the people, saying, The LORD sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city <05892> all the words that ye have heard. Jer 26:15 But know ye for certain, that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city <05892>, and upon the inhabitants thereof: for of a truth the LORD hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears. Jer 32:25 And thou hast said unto me, O Lord GOD, Buy thee the field for money, and take witnesses; for the city <05892> is given into the hand of the Chaldeans. Jer 32:28 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city <05892> into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: Jer 32:29 And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city <05892>, shall come and set fire on this city <05892>, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other gods, to provoke me to anger. Jer 32:31 For this city <05892> hath been to me as a provocation of mine anger and of my fury from the day that they built it even unto this day; that I should remove it from before my face, Jer 32:36 And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city <05892>, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; Jer 32:44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities <05892> of Judah, and in the cities <05892> of the mountains, and in the cities <05892> of the valley, and in the cities <05892> of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD. Jer 33:4 For thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city <05892>, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by the mounts, and by the sword; Jer 33:5 They come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain in mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness I have hid my face from this city <05892>. Jer 33:10 Thus saith the LORD; Again there shall be heard in this place, which ye say shall be desolate without man and without beast, even in the cities <05892> of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man, and without inhabitant, and without beast, Jer 33:12 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities <05892> thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down. Jer 33:13 In the cities <05892> of the mountains, in the cities <05892> of the vale, and in the cities <05892> of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities <05892> of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD. Jer 34:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities <05892> thereof, saying, Jer 34:2 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city <05892> into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: Jer 34:7 When the king of Babylon’s army fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities <05892> of Judah that were left, against Lachish, and against Azekah: for these defenced cities <05892> remained of the cities <05892> of Judah. Jer 34:22 Behold, I will command, saith the LORD, and cause them to return to this city <05892>; and they shall fight against it, and take it, and burn it with fire: and I will make the cities <05892> of Judah a desolation without an inhabitant. Jer 36:6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD’S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities <05892>. Jer 36:9 And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities <05892> of Judah unto Jerusalem. Jer 37:8 And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city <05892>, and take it, and burn it with fire. Jer 37:10 For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained but wounded men among them, yet should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city <05892> with fire. Jer 37:21 Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers’ street, until all the bread in the city <05892> were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison. Jer 38:2 Thus saith the LORD, He that remaineth in this city <05892> shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth forth to the Chaldeans shall live; for he shall have his life for a prey, and shall live. Jer 38:3 Thus saith the LORD, This city <05892> shall surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon’s army, which shall take it. Jer 38:4 Therefore the princes said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city <05892>, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the welfare of this people, but the hurt. Jer 38:9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city <05892>. Jer 38:17 Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon’s princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city <05892> shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house: Jer 38:18 But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, then shall this city <05892> be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand. Jer 38:23 So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy children to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city <05892> to be burned with fire. Jer 39:2 And in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, the city <05892> was broken up. Jer 39:4 And it came to pass, that when Zedekiah the king of Judah saw them, and all the men of war, then they fled, and went forth out of the city <05892> by night, by the way of the king’s garden, by the gate betwixt the two walls: and he went out the way of the plain. Jer 39:9 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the remnant of the people that remained in the city <05892>, and those that fell away, that fell to him, with the rest of the people that remained. Jer 39:16 Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city <05892> for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee. Jer 40:5 Now while he was not yet gone back, he said, Go back also to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon hath made governor over the cities <05892> of Judah, and dwell with him among the people: or go wheresoever it seemeth convenient unto thee to go. So the captain of the guard gave him victuals and a reward, and let him go. Jer 40:10 As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put them in your vessels, and dwell in your cities <05892> that ye have taken. Jer 41:7 And it was so, when they came into the midst of the city <05892>, that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah slew them, and cast them into the midst of the pit, he, and the men that were with him. Jer 44:17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities <05892> of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. Jer 44:21 The incense that ye burned in the cities <05892> of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and came it not into his mind? Jer 46:8 Egypt riseth up like a flood, and his waters are moved like the rivers; and he saith, I will go up, and will cover the earth; I will destroy the city <05892> and the inhabitants thereof. Eze 25:9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities <05892>, from his cities <05892> which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim, Eze 26:10 By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city <05892> wherein is made a breach. Eze 26:17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city <05892>, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! Eze 48:18 And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city <05892>. Eze 48:19 And they that serve the city <05892> shall serve it out of all the tribes of Israel. Eze 48:20 All the oblation shall be five and twenty thousand by five and twenty thousand: ye shall offer the holy oblation foursquare, with the possession of the city <05892>. Eze 48:21 And the residue shall be for the prince, on the one side and on the other of the holy oblation, and of the possession of the city <05892>, over against the five and twenty thousand of the oblation toward the east border, and westward over against the five and twenty thousand toward the west border, over against the portions for the prince: and it shall be the holy oblation; and the sanctuary of the house shall be in the midst thereof. Eze 48:22 Moreover from the possession of the Levites, and from the possession of the city <05892>, being in the midst of that which is the prince’s, between the border of Judah and the border of Benjamin, shall be for the prince. Eze 48:30 And these are the goings out of the city <05892> on the north side, four thousand and five hundred measures. Eze 48:31 And the gates of the city <05892> shall be after the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi.
