Minuscule 232

Minuscule 232 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 455 (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Dated by a colophon to the year 1302.[1] Scrivener deciphered it as the year 1292.[2]

Description
The codex contains a complete text of the four Gospels, on 289 parchment leaves (size 22 cm by 17.5 cm).[1] Written in one column per page, 20-22 lines per page.[1] It contains τιτλοι and double Synaxarion.[3] Titloi in the margin of Matthew and Luke. Elegantly written, but scribe used a poor source.[2]
Text
The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.[4]
History
It was described by D. G. Moldenhauer, who collated it about 1783 for Birch.[3] It was also collated by Matthaei.
It is currently housed at the Escurial (Cod. Escurialensis, y. III. 7).[1]
