The King James Version makes a distinction between the "Word" of God, and the "word" of God. The Word with a capital "W" represents Jesus Christ, while the word with a lowercase "w" represents the bible. There is a distinct difference between them.

Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
