The Alternate Translation Bible by Living Epistles Ministries is a gnostic paraphrased translation of the bible, and claims to be an "Amplified Translation of the Hebrew and Greek". They claim the The King James translators translated with a theological bias, believing God to be "an unforgiving, punishing God" and not a God of love. They claim their version is a "Spiritual Translation" of the "Spiritual Mind as the King James translation is to the Carnal Mind" and also that they translate in a more "positive" fashion. They condense multiple definitions of Greek and Hebrew words into one or two words claiming that "multiple definitions of the same Hebrew and Greek Word" is bad scholarship.

The translation is headed by by Sheila R. Vitale, Pastor, Teacher & Founder of Living Epistles Ministries.

Oftentimes the entire meaning of the verse omitted for a gnostic interpretation. For example:

John 4:3 [So Jesus] left off regenerating Adam [within His disciples] and went into Leviathan's timeline again. (ATB)

John 4:3 He left Judaea, and departed again into Galilee. (KJV)
