１ And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple.

かくてイエスは神殿より出で来りて往き給へり。然るに弟子等進み来りて神殿の建物を彼に見（あら）はす。

２. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

然るにイエス曰へり、汝等は此等おずべての事を視ざるか。誠にわれ汝等に云はん、必ず壊られざる石の上に、〔一つの〕石をも此処に差しおかれざるべし。　　　　　　

３ And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

かくて彼のエライオンの山の上に坐し給ひしとき、弟子等人を避け進み来りて、云ひけるは、我等に曰へ、いつ此等の事あるべきや。また汝の来臨と世の完成との徴は何なるや。　　　　　　

４ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

乃ちイエス答へて彼等に曰へり、誰も汝等を惑はすことなきよう視よ。　　　　　　　

５ For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

そは多くの者、われはキリストなり、と云ひつつ我が名に於て来るべければなり。かくて彼等は多くの者を惑はさん。

６. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

また汝等は将に軍（いくさ）と軍の風聞とを聞くならん、覩（み）よ、ふためく勿れ。そはすべての事は必ず発（おこ）らざるべからざればなり。されど未だ終はあらず。　　　　　　

７ For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

そは国人は国人に逆らひ、また国は国に逆らひて起ち、飢饉また疫病また地震ところどころにあるべければなり。

８. All these [are] the beginning of sorrows.

されど此等の事はみな陣痛の初なり。

９ Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake.

そのとき彼等は汝等を艱（なやみ）に付（わた）し、且つ殺すならん。また汝等は我が名のゆゑにすべての国人より憎まるべし。

１０ And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

またその時多くの者は躓かされん、また彼等は互に憎むべし。

And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

また多くの贋豫言者起りて、多くの者を惑はすべし。

１２. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

また不法を増さるるゆゑに、多くの者の愛は増々冷かになるらん。

１３. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

されど終まで耐へ忍ぶ者、此の者は救はるべし。

１４ Greek 　And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

かくてすべての国人に証のため、〔天〕国の此の福音は全世界に宣べらるべし。かくてそんとき終は到るべし。

１５ When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)

是の故に汝等は豫言者ダニエルによりて謂はれし、かの荒らす悪（にく）むべき者の、聖なる所に立つを見るとき、読む者解せよ、

１６ Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

そのときユダヤに在る者は山に遁れよ。

１７ Neither him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

また屋の上なる者はその家より何をも取り出さんとて下る勿れ。。

１８. Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. また畠にある者はその衣を取らんとて後ろに帰る勿れ。

１９ And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!

されどその日には孕める者と、乳を哺（の）ましむる者とは禍なるかな。

２０ But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

されば汝等の遁るることの、冬にもまた安息日にも発らざるよう祈れ。

２１ For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

そは世の初より今に至るまで発りしことなく〔後にも〕必ず発らざる程の、大いなる艱あるべければなり。

２２ And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

さればそれらの日を少なくせられざりしならば、すべての肉は救はれざりしならん、されど選ばれたるもののために、それらの日は少なうせらるべし。

２３ Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not.

そのとき誰ぞもし汝等に、見よ、キリストは此処に、或ひは此処に、と云ふとも信ずる勿れ。　　　　　　

２４ For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

そは多くの贋キリストまた贋豫言者起るならん。かくてもし能ふべくんば、選ばれたる者をも惑はす程の、大なる徴と奇跡とを与ふべければなり。

２５ Behold, I have told you before.

見よ、われ豫（あらかじ）め汝等に謂へり。

Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not.

是の故に彼等もの汝等に、見よ、彼は荒野におはす、というとも出で来る勿れ。見よ、部屋におはす、〔といふとも〕信ずる勿れ。

２７. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

そは雷の東より出で来り、また遠く西に現はるる如く、人の子の到来もかくあればなり。　　　　　　

　　　　　　　 ２８ For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

そは屍のあらんところ、そこに鷲集まるべければなり。

２９. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

されどそれらの日の艱の後に、直に陽は暗くなり、また月はその光を与へず、またもろもろの星は天より隕（お）ち、またもろもろの天の力は震はれん。

３０ And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

かくてそのとき人の子の徴は天に現はるべし。またそのとき地のもろもろの族 は歎くべし。かくて彼等は大いなる力と栄光のうちに、天の雲に乗りて来る人の子を目のあたり見るべし。　　　　　　

３１ And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

また彼は大いなる喇叭の響のうちに、その使等を使はさん。彼等は天の極（き わみ）よりその極に至る四つの風にて、その選ばれたるものを集むべし。

３２ Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh:

されど無花果樹より喩を学べ。その枝既に柔かにして葉のめぐむとき、汝等は夏の近づけることを知る。

３３ So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors.

かくの如く汝等も此等のすべての事を見るときは、〔その〕近づきて門口にあることを知れ。　　　　　　

３４ Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

誠にわれ汝等に云はん、すべて此等の事の発るまでは、必ず此の代は過ぎ去ることなかるべし。　　　　　　

３５. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

天と地とは過ぎ去らん、されど我が言は必ず過ぎ去らじ。

３６

But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

されどその日と時とに就きては、唯（ひと）り我が父の外に誰一人知る者なし。天の使等も〔また子も〕〔知ること〕なし。

３７ But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

さればかのノアの日の如く、人の子の到来もその如くあるべし。　　　　　　　

３８ For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

そは洪水のありしより先の日に、ノアの方船に入り来りし日まで、「彼等は喰ひつつまた飲みつつ、娶りつつまた嫁ぎつつありて、

３９. And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

洪水到りてすべてを取り去るまで、これを知らざりし如く、人の子の到来もその如くあるべければなり。

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

そのとき二〔者〕畠にあらんに、一男は取られ、一男は差しおかれん。

４１. Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

二〔者〕磨臼（ひきうす）にて臼ひきて〔あらんに〕、一女は取られ、また一女は差しおかれん。

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

是お故に目を覚ましをれ。そは汝等の主はいづれの時に来り給ふかを知らざればなり。

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

されどそれを知れ。もし家の主人いづれの時刻に盗人（ぬすっと）の来るかを知りたらんには、目を覚まし、且つその家を穿（うが＝穴を明ける）たしめざりしことを。　　　　　　

４４ Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

此のゆゑに汝等も備あれよ。そは汝等の思はざる時に人の子は来ればなり。

４５ Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

されば期に於て食物を彼等に与ふるために、家従等の上に主の据うる信（まこと）にして怜記き奴僕は誰なるや。

４６ Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

主到りてかく為しつつあるを見出さば、かの奴僕は福なる者なり。

４７ Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

誠にわれ汝等に云はん、彼はその有ち物のすべての上にこれを据うべしと。　　　　　　　

４８ But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

されどももしかの悪しき奴僕その心のいちに、我が主の来るは遅しと云ひて、

４９ And shall begin to smite [his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

侶の奴僕らを叩き、酒の侶等と共に食し且つ飲み始むるならんには、、

The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and in an hour that he is not aware of,

かの奴僕の主は期せざる日に、また知らざる時に到りて、

５１ And shall cut him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

彼を切って二つにし、且つその分を偽善者のうちに置くべし。そこにて歎くこと、また切歯することあるならん。
