Minuscule 358 (in the Gregory-Aland numbering), ε 148 (Soden), is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament, on parchment. Paleographically it had been assigned to the 14th century.[1] It is known as Codex Mutinensis II.

Description

The codex contains a complete text of the four Gospels on 203 parchment leaves (15.3 cm by 12.5 cm). Written in one column per page, in 21 lines per page.[1] It contains tables of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections (Mark 233 - 16:8), Eusebian Canons, and subscriptions. Lectionary markings and incipits were added by a later hand.[2][3]

Text

The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the Byzantine text-type. Aland placed it in Category V.[4] According to Wisse's Profile Method it belongs to the textual family Kx.[5]

History

The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by Scholz (1794-1852).[6] It was examined by Burgon.

The manuscript is currently housed at the Biblioteca Estense (G. 9, a.U.2.3 (II A 9)) in Modena.[1]
