But upon closer examination, it is an error to say Beza has ὁ and not ὃ. While the Printed editions have ὁ in Beza’s 1565, 1582, 1589, his 1598 has ὅ on closer examination, as does his 1605 edition. Stephanus has ὃ in all editions. Beza’s 1598 does have ὅ and not ὁ and would seem that Scrivener missed this and merely assumed Beza had ὁ. It is most likely that the texts of Beza from 1565-1589 had this as a print error and was fixed in the 1598. The "oxia/tonos / acute accent" in Beza’s 1598 is partially hidden by the marginal line. ὃ means some (the relatively, sometimes demonstrative, pronoun, who, which, what, that) while ὁ is a simple definite article. ;English Versions * 1395 - sum (Wycliffe) * 1534 - some (Tyndale) * 1549 - some (Matthews) * 1560 - some (Geneva) * 1568 - some (Bishops’) * 1611 - some (King James Version) ==Greek== ====Textus Receptus==== * 1514 <small>See Also Luke 8:5 Complutensian Polyglot 1514</small> ====Desiderius Erasmus==== * 1516 (Erasmus 1st Novum Instrumentum omne) * 1519 (Erasmus 2nd) * 1522 (Erasmus 3rd Novum Testamentum omne) * 1527 (Erasmus 4th) * 1535 (Erasmus 5th) ====Colinæus==== * 1534 (Colinæus) ====Stephanus (Robert Estienne)==== * 1546 (Robert Estienne (Stephanus) 1st) * 1549 (Robert Estienne (Stephanus) 2nd) * 1550 Ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτὸν ὃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν καὶ κατεπατήθη καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατέφαγεν αὐτό (Robert Estienne (Stephanus) 3rd - Editio Regia) * 1551 Ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτὸν ὃ μὲν ἔπεσεν παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν καὶ κατεπατήθη καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατέφαγεν αὐτό (Robert Estienne (Stephanus) 4th) ====Theodore Beza==== * 1565 (Beza 1st) * 1565 (Beza Octavo 1st) * 1567 (Beza Octavo 2nd) * 1580 (Beza Octavo 3rd) * 1582 (Beza 2nd) * 1589 (Beza 3rd) * 1590 (Beza Octavo 4th) * 1598 Ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτόν, ὃ μὲν ἔπεσε παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν, καὶ κατεπατήθη, καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατέφαγεν αὐτό· (Beza 4th) See Also Luke 8:5 Beza 1598 (Beza) * 1604 (Beza Octavo 5th) ====Elzevir==== * 1624 (Elzevir) * 1633 (Elzevir) * 1641 (Elzevir) ====Scholz==== * 1841 (Scholz) ====Scrivener==== * 1894 Ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ· καὶ ἐν τῷ σπείρειν αὐτόν, ὃ μὲν ἔπεσε παρὰ τὴν ὁδόν, καὶ κατεπατήθη, καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ κατέφαγεν αὐτό. ====Other Greek==== * 1857 (Tregelles' Greek New Testament) * 1872 ἐξῆλθεν ὁ σπείρων τοῦ σπεῖραι τὸν σπόρον αὐτοῦ.
