Allen Paul Wikgren (Chicago, December 3, 1906 – Woodruff, Wisconsin May 7, 1998) was an American Bible scholar.[1]

Allen Wikgren (A.B.'28, A.M.'29, Ph.D.'32) was Professor Emeritus in the Divinity School, University of Chicago.

Wikgren was a minister at First Baptist Church in Belleville, Kansas, and professor at Central Baptist Theological Seminary and Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, then in 1940 joining the University of Chicago Divinity School as the J.M. Powis Smith Instructor.

Together with Bruce Metzger, Kurt Aland, and Carlo Maria Martini he was on the Editorial Committee of the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament for 3rd ed. The Greek New Testament, Novum Testamentum Graece, "UBS3".

Wikgren was a member of the Revised Standard Version committee from 1952.
