The Book of Ruth (Hebrew: מגילת רות‎; Sephardic, Israeli Hebrew: [məgi'lat rut]; Ashkenazi Hebrew: [mə'gɪləs rus]; "the Scroll of Ruth") is one of the books of the Ketuvim ("Writings") of the Old Testament. It is a rather short book consisting of only four chapters.
