Some claim that the Greek word baptizo should be translated as immerse and not as baptize. "Immersion" is being submerged into water; whereas baptism is going under the water and coming back up again - a picture of our identification with the crucified and risen Christ. Almost every Bible version translates the word as "baptize" and not "immerse".
