  1 Now after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
1 And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard a noise like thunder, one of the four beasts saying, "Come and see."
  2 Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God. And he shouted out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea,
2 And I saw, and behold, a white horse. And he who sat on it had a bow, and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer.
  3 saying, “Do not harm the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, until we have sealed the servants  of  our God in their foreheads.
3 And when He had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, "Come and see."
  4 And I heard the number of them who were sealed. And one hundred and forty four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
4 And there went out another horse that was red. And power was given to him who sat on it to take peace from the earth and that they should kill one another. And a great sword was given to him.
  5 of the tribe of Judah twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Gad twelve thousand were sealed;
5 And when He had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, "Come and see." And I looked, and behold, a black horse. And he who sat on it had a pair of balances in his hand.

6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, "A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny. And see you do not hurt the oil and the wine."
sand were sealed; of the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand were sealed;
7 And when He had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, "Come and see."
  7 of the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Levi twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Issachar twelve thou-sand were sealed.
8 And I looked, and behold, a pale horse. And the name of him who sat on it was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given to them over the fourth part of the earth to kill with sword and with hunger and with death and with the beasts of the earth.
  8 of the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand were sealed; of the tribe of Benjamin twelve thousand were sealed.
9 And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who were slain for the word of God and for the testimony that they held.
  9 After this I looked, and behold, a large multitude which no one could  number,  of all  nations, tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands,
10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You not judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?"
  10 and shouting out with a loud voice, saying, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!”
11 And white robes were given to every one of them. And it was said to them that they should still rest for a little season, until their fellow servants and also their brothers, who would be killed as they were, would be fulfilled.
  11 And all the angels stood sur-rounding the throne and among the elders and the four creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,
12 And I looked when He had opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake. And the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as like blood.
  12 saying: “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen.
13 And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, even as a fig tree casts her untimely figs when she is shaken by a mighty wind.
  13 Then one of the elders responded, saying to me, “Who are these that are clothed in white robes  and  where  did  they  come from?”
14 And the heavens parted as a scroll when it is rolled together, and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
  14 And I said to him, “Sir, you know.” So he said to me, “These are
15 And the kings of the earth and the great men and the rich men and the chief captains and the mighty men and every bondman and every free man hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains,
those who have come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
16 and said to the mountains and rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb.
  15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will live among them.
17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who shall be able to stand?"
  16 They will not hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; neither will the sun strike them, nor any heat;
  17 Because, the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them and will lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”
