  1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia. Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God.
  2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion, and the dragon gave him his power, throne, and great authority.
2 For His judgments are true and righteous, for He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her fornication and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."
  3 And I saw one of his heads as it had  been  mortally  wounded, and his deadly wound was healed, and the  entire  world followed after the beast.
3 And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rises up forever and ever."
  4 And they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen. Alleluia."
  5 And he was given a mouth speak-ing grand things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue for forty two months.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants and you who fear Him, both small and great."
  6 And he opened his mouth in blas-phemy against God, to blaspheme His name, and His tabernacle, and those who dwell in heaven.
6 And I heard what seemed like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thundering, saying, "Alleluia. For the Lord God omnipotent reigns.
  7 And it was granted to him to make war with the saints and to over-come them. And authority was given to him over every tribe, and language, and nation.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
  8 And all who live on the earth will worship him, whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
8 And it was granted to her that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
  9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
9 And he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
  10 He who leads into captivity will go into captivity; he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "See that you do not do it. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
  11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke like a dragon.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
  12 And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. And He had a name written that no man knew but He Himself.
  13 And performs great wonders, so that he makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men.
13 And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
  14 And deceives those who dwell on the earth because of those miracles which he had authority to do in the sight of the beast, saying to those who live on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast who had the wound by a sword, and lived.
14 And the armies that were in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
  15 And he had authority to give life to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed.
15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
  16 And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads,
16 And He has a name written on His garment and on His thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
  17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who had the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together for the supper of the great God,
  18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the num-ber of the beast, because it is the number of a man: and his number is six hundred and sixty six.
18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great."
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him who sat on the horse, the sword that proceeded out of His mouth. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
