1 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour.
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia. Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God.
2 And I saw the seven angels who stood before God, and seven trumpets were given to them.
2 For His judgments are true and righteous, for He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her fornication and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."
3 And another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. And there was given to him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints on the golden altar that was before the throne.
3 And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rises up forever and ever."
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen. Alleluia."
5 And the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and cast it to the earth. And there were voices and thundering and lightning and an earthquake.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants and you who fear Him, both small and great."
6 And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound.
6 And I heard what seemed like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thundering, saying, "Alleluia. For the Lord God omnipotent reigns.
7 The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire, mingled with blood, and they were cast on the earth. And the third part of trees was burned up, and all green grass was burned up.
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
8 And the second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and the third part of the sea became blood.
8 And it was granted to her that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 And the third part of the creatures that were in the sea and had life died, and the third part of the ships were destroyed.
9 And he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
10 And the third angel sounded, and from heaven there fell a great star, burning like a lamp, and it fell on the third part of the rivers and on the fountains of waters.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "See that you do not do it. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
11 And the name of the star is called Wormwood. And the third part of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters because they were made bitter.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was struck, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars, so that the third part of them was darkened. And the day did not shine for a third part of it, and likewise the night.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. And He had a name written that no man knew but He Himself.
13 And I looked and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe, woe, woe to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels that are yet to sound!"
13 And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies that were in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And He has a name written on His garment and on His thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together for the supper of the great God,
18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great."
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him who sat on the horse, the sword that proceeded out of His mouth. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
