1 "And write to the angel of the church in Sardis: 'He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says these things: I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, and are dead.
1 And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia. Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God.
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things that remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.
2 For His judgments are true and righteous, for He has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her fornication and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand."
3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard, and hold fast and repent. Therefore if you shall not watch, I will come on you like a thief, and you shall not know what hour I will come on you.
3 And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rises up forever and ever."
4 You have a few names even in Sardis that have not defiled their garments, and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.
4 And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshipped God who sat on the throne, saying, "Amen. Alleluia."
5 He who overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white clothing, and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
5 And a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants and you who fear Him, both small and great."
6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
6 And I heard what seemed like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thundering, saying, "Alleluia. For the Lord God omnipotent reigns.
7 "And write to the angel of the church in Philadelphia: 'He who is holy, He who is true, He who has the key of David, He who opens and no man shuts, and shuts and no man opens, says these things:
7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.
8 I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no man can shut it, for you have a little strength and have kept My word and have not denied My name.
8 And it was granted to her that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but lie— behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet and to know that I have loved you.
9 And he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.'" And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."
10 Because you have kept the word of My patience, I also will keep you from the hour of testing that shall come on all the world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, "See that you do not do it. I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
11 Behold, I come quickly. Hold fast what you have, that no man take your crown.
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.
12 I will make him who overcomes a pillar in the temple of My God, and he shall go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. And He had a name written that no man knew but He Himself.
13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
13 And He was clothed with a garment dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.
14 "And write to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans: 'The Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God, says these things:
14 And the armies that were in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.
15 I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot.
15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He shall rule them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of My mouth.
16 And He has a name written on His garment and on His thigh: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
17 Because you say, "I am rich and increased with goods and have need of nothing"and do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked—
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the midst of heaven, "Come and gather yourselves together for the supper of the great God,
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich, and white clothing, that you may be clothed, and that the shame of your nakedness does not appear, and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great."
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
19 And I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against Him who sat on the horse and against His army.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will eat with him, and he with Me.
20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked miracles before him, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, even as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father on His throne.
21 And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him who sat on the horse, the sword that proceeded out of His mouth. And all the birds were filled with their flesh.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
