  1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.
1 And He entered into the synagogue again, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.
  2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are about to die, because I have not found your works perfect before God.
2 And they watched Him to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse Him.
  3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; and hold firmly and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.
3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, "Stand up."
  4 You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they will walk with Me in white, because they are worthy.
4 And He said to them, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.
  5 He who overcomes, these will be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
5 And when He had looked all around at them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored whole as the other.
  6 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the church-es.” ’
6 And the Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.
  7 “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write, ‘These things says He who is holy, He who is true, “He who has the key of David, He who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens”:
7 But Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea
  8 “I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; because, you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.
8 and from Jerusalem and from Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and those around Tyre and Sidon—a great multitude, when they had heard what great things He did, came to Him.
  9 Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but do lie, behold, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
9 And He spoke to His disciples, that a small ship should be ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should throng Him.
  10 Because you have kept My word to persevere, I also will keep you from the hour of trial that will come upon the entire world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
10 For He had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed on Him to touch Him.
  11 Behold, I am coming suddenly! Hold firmly to what you have, that no one may take your crown.
11 And when unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried, saying, "You are the Son of God."
  12 He who overcomes, I will make a pillar in the temple of My God, and he will go out no more. And I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, which is New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God. And I will write on him My new name.
12 And He strictly charged them that they should not make Him known.
  13 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the church-es.” ’
13 And He went up on a mountain and called to Him those whom He wanted, and they came to Him.
  14 “And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of God:
14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,
  15 “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish that you were cold or hot.
15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.
  16 So then, because you are luke-warm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.
16 And Simon He named Peter,
  17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, am increased with possessions, and have need of nothing,’ but do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;
17 and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James (and He named them Boanerges, which is "The Sons of Thunder"),
  18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white clothing, that you may be clothed, so that the shame of your nakedness does not appear; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
  19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent.
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.
  20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with Him, and he with Me.
20 And the multitude came together again, so that they could not even eat bread.
  21 To him that overcomes will I allow to sit with Me on My throne, just as I also overcame and have sat down with My Father on His throne.
21 And when His friends heard of it, they went out to take hold of Him, for they said, "He is beside Himself."
  22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the church-es.” ’ ”
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebub" and "He casts out demons by the prince of the demons."
23 And He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand but has an end.
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he will first bind the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme.
29 But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness but is in danger of eternal damnation."
30 Because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
31 Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside, sent to Him, calling Him.
32 And the multitude sat around Him, and they said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking for You."
33 And He answered them, saying, "Who is My mother, or My brothers?"
34 And He looked around at those who sat around Him and said, "Behold, My mother and My brothers!
35 For whoever does the will of God, the same is My brother and My sister and mother."
