1 The    Pharisees    along    with    the Sadducees came, and testing Him asked that He would show them a sign from heaven.

  2 He answered and said to them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, because the sky is red’;
2 and saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
3 and in the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, because the sky is red and overcast.’ O you hypocrites! You can discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times?

3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord; make His paths straight.'"
5 Now when His disciples had come to the other side, they had forgotten to take bread.

6 Then Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sad-ducees.”
4 And the same John had his clothing of camel's hair and a leather belt around his loins, and his food was locusts and wild honey.
7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, “It is because we have not taken bread.

8 Which when Jesus perceived it He said to them, “O you of little faith, why do you reason among your-selves because you have brought no bread?
5 Then Jerusalem, and all Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him

11 How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak this to you concerning bread, but that you should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees?”

12 Then they understood that He did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
7 But when he saw that many of the Pharisees and Sadducees had come to his baptism, he said to them, "O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some  say  that  You are John the Baptist, some, Elijah, and others Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.
8 Therefore bring forth fruits fitting for repentance,
15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 And Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
9 and do not think to say within yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones.
17 And Jesus replied and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, because flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.
10 And also now the axe is laid to the root of the trees. Therefore every tree that does not bring forth good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.
19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you will bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you will loose  on  earth  will  be  loosed  in heaven.”

20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should not tell anyone that He was Jesus the Christ.
11 I indeed baptize you with water to repentance, but He who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear. He shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.
21 From that time forward Jesus began to show to His disciples how that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me Satan! You are an offense to Me, because, you are not thinking things that are of God, but those that are of man.”

24 Then said Jesus to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
