1 "Write to the angel of the church of Ephesus: 'He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, says these things:
1 And He entered into the synagogue again, and there was a man there who had a withered hand.
2 I know your works, and your labor, and your patience, and how you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars,
2 And they watched Him to see whether He would heal him on the Sabbath day, that they might accuse Him.
3 and have persevered and had patience, and for My name's sake have labored and have not fainted.
3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, "Stand up."
4 Nevertheless I have something against you, because you have left your first love.
4 And He said to them, "Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath day or to do evil, to save life or to kill?" But they remained silent.
5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and will remove your candlestick out of its place, unless you repent.
5 And when He had looked all around at them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, "Stretch out your hand." And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored whole as the other.
6 But you have this: that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
6 And the Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.
7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.'"
7 But Jesus withdrew to the sea with His disciples. And a great multitude from Galilee followed Him, and from Judea
8 "And write to the angel of the church in Smyrna: 'The first and the last, who was dead and is alive, says these things:
8 and from Jerusalem and from Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and those around Tyre and Sidon—a great multitude, when they had heard what great things He did, came to Him.
9 I know your works, and tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich), and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
9 And He spoke to His disciples, that a small ship should be ready for Him because of the multitude, lest they should throng Him.
10 Do not fear any of those things that you shall suffer. Behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you shall have tribulation ten days. Be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life.
10 For He had healed many, so that as many as had plagues pressed on Him to touch Him.
11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.'"
11 And when unclean spirits saw Him, they fell down before Him and cried, saying, "You are the Son of God."
12 "And write to the angel of the church in Pergamum: 'He who has the sharp sword with two edges says these things:
12 And He strictly charged them that they should not make Him known.
13 I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is. And you hold fast My name and have not denied My faith even in those days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.
13 And He went up on a mountain and called to Him those whom He wanted, and they came to Him.
14 But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit fornication.
14 And He ordained twelve, that they should be with Him and that He might send them out to preach,
15 So you also have those who hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, a thing that I hate.
15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons.
16 Repent, or else I will come to you quickly and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.
16 And Simon He named Peter,
17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give of the hidden manna to eat, and will give him a white stone and a new name written on the stone that no man knows except him who receives it.'"
17 and James the son of Zebedee and John the brother of James (and He named them Boanerges, which is "The Sons of Thunder"),
18 "And write to the angel of the church in Thyatira: 'The Son of God, who has His eyes like a flame of fire and His feet like fine brass, says these things:
18 and Andrew, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus, and Simon the Canaanite,
19 I know your works, and love and service, and faith, and your patience, and your works, and the last are more than the first.
19 and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him. And they went into a house.
20 However, I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce My servants to commit fornication and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
20 And the multitude came together again, so that they could not even eat bread.
21 And I gave her time to repent of her fornication, and she did not repent.
21 And when His friends heard of it, they went out to take hold of Him, for they said, "He is beside Himself."
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
22 And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem said, "He has Beelzebub" and "He casts out demons by the prince of the demons."
23 And I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to every one of you according to your works.
23 And He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: "How can Satan cast out Satan?
24 But to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, and who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
24 And if a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
25 But hold fast what you already have until I come.
25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.
26 And he who overcomes and keeps My works to the end, to him I will give power over the nations.
26 And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand but has an end.
27 "And he shall rule them with a rod of iron, like the vessels of a potter they shall be broken to pieces," even as I received from My Father.
27 No man can enter into a strong man's house and plunder his goods unless he will first bind the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.
28 And I will give him the morning star.
28 Truly I say to you, all sins shall be forgiven the sons of men, and whatever blasphemies with which they shall blaspheme.
29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'"
29 But he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness but is in danger of eternal damnation."
30 Because they said, "He has an unclean spirit."
31 Then His brothers and His mother came, and standing outside, sent to Him, calling Him.
32 And the multitude sat around Him, and they said to Him, "Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are outside seeking for You."
33 And He answered them, saying, "Who is My mother, or My brothers?"
34 And He looked around at those who sat around Him and said, "Behold, My mother and My brothers!
35 For whoever does the will of God, the same is My brother and My sister and mother."
