1 Ἰούδας Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ δοῦλος, ἀδελφὸς δὲ Ἰακώβου, τοῖς ἐν Θεῷ πατρὶ ἠγιασημένοις καὶ Ἰησοῦ Χριστῷ τετηρημένοις κλητοῖς.
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave to Him to show to His servants things that must shortly come to pass. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John,
2 Ἔλεος ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη καὶ ἀγάπη πληθυνθείη.
2 who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, and to all things that he saw.
3 Ἀγαπητοί, πᾶσαν σπουδὴν ποιούμενος γράφειν ὑμῖν περὶ τῆς κοινῆς σωτηρίας, ἀνάγκην ἔσχον γράψαι ὑμῖν, παρακαλῶν ἐπαγωνίζεσθαι τῇ ἅπαξ παραδοθείσῃ τοῖς ἁγίοις πίστει.
3 Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things that are written in it, for the time is at hand.
4 Παρεισέδυσαν γάρ τινες ἄνθρωποι, οἱ πάλαι προγεγραμμένοι εἰς τοῦτο τὸ κρῖμα, ἀσεβεῖς, τὴν τοῦ Θεοῦ ημῶν χαριν μετατιθέντες εἰς ἀσέλγειαν, καὶ τὸν μόνον δεσπότην Θεὸν καὶ Κύριον ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦν Χριστὸν ἀρνούμενοι.
4 John, to the seven churches that are in Asia: grace and peace be to you from Him who is, and who was, and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits that are before His throne,
5 Ὑπομνῆσαι δὲ ὑμᾶς βούλομαι, εἰδότας ὑμᾶς ἅπαξ τοῦτο, ὅτι κύριος λαὸν ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου σώσας, τὸ δεύτερον τοὺς μὴ πιστεύσαντας ἀπώλεσε.
5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the firstborn of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,
6 Ἀγγέλους τε τοὺς μὴ τηρήσαντας τὴν ἑαυτῶν ἀρχήν, ἀλλὰ ἀπολιπόντας τὸ ἴδιον οἰκητήριον, εἰς κρίσιν μεγάλης ἡμέρας, δεσμοῖς ἀϊδίοις ὑπὸ ζόφον τετήρηκεν.
6 and has made us kings and priests to God and His Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
7 Ὡς Σόδομα καὶ Γόμοῤῥα, καὶ αἱ περὶ αὐτὰς πόλεις, τὸν ὅμοιον τούτοις τρόπον ἐκπορνεύσασαι, καὶ ἀπελθοῦσαι ὀπίσω σαρκὸς ἑτέρας, πρόκεινται δεῖγμα, πυρὸς αἰωνίου δίκην ὑπέχουσαι.
7 Behold, He comes with clouds, and every eye shall see Him, and also those who pierced Him. And all tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.
8 Ὁμοίως μέντοι καὶ οὗτοι ἐνυπνιαζόμενοι, σάρκα μὲν μιαίνουσι, κυριότητα δὲ ἀθετοῦσι, δόξαι δὲ βλασφημοῦσιν.
8 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending," says the Lord, "who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty."
9 Ὁ δὲ Μιχαὴλ ὁ ἀρχάγγελος, ὅτε τῷ διαβόλῳ διακρινόμενος διελέγετο περὶ τοῦ Μωσέως σώματος, οὐκ ἐτόλμησε κρίσιν ἐπενεγκεῖν βλασφημίας, ἀλλ᾽ εἶπεν, Ἐπιτιμήσαι σοι Κύριος.
9 I, John, who also am your brother and companion in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 Οὗτοι δὲ, ὅσα μὲν οὐκ οἴδασι, βλασφημοῦσιν· ὅσα δὲ φυσικῶς, ὡς τὰ ἄλογα ζῶα, ἐπίστανται, ἐν τούτοις φθείρονται.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's Day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
11 Οὐαὶ αὐτοῖς ὅτι τῇ ὁδῷ τοῦ Κάϊν ἐπορεύθησαν, καὶ τῇ πλάνῃ τοῦ Βαλαὰμ μισθοῦ ἐξεχύθησαν, καὶ τῇ ἀντιλογίᾳ τοῦ Κορὲ ἀπώλοντο.
11 saying, "I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last," and, "What you see, write in a book, and send it to the seven churches that are in Asia: to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea."
12 Οὗτοί εἰσιν ἐν ταῖς ἀγάπαις ὑμῶν σπιλάδες, συνευωχούμενοι, ἀφόβως, ἑαυτοὺς ποιμαίνοντες· νεφέλαι ἄνυδροι ὑπὸ ἀνέμων περιφερόμεναι, δένδρα φθινοπωρινὰ, ἄκαρπα, δὶς ἀποθανόντα, ἐκριζωθέντα·
12 And I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,
13 Κύματα ἄγρια θαλάσσης, ἐπαφρίζοντα τὰς ἑαυτῶν αἰσχύνας, ἀστέρες πλανῆται, οἷς ὁ ζόφος τοῦ σκότους εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τετήρηται.
13 and in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden girdle.
14 Προεφήτευσε δὲ καὶ τούτοις ἕβδομος ἀπὸ Ἀδὰμ Ἐνὼχ, λέγων, Ἰδού, ἦλθε Κύριος ἐν μυριάσιν ἁγίαις αὐτοῦ,
14 His head and His hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes were like a flame of fire.
15 Ποιῆσαι κρίσιν κατὰ πάντων, καὶ ἐξελέγξαι πάντας τοὺς ἀσεβεῖς αὐτῶν περὶ πάντων τῶν ἔργων ἀσεβείας αὐτῶν ὧν ἠσέβησαν, καὶ περὶ πάντων τῶν σκληρῶν ὧν ἐλάλησαν κατ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἁμαρτωλοὶ ἀσεβεῖς.
15 And His feet like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and His voice like the sound of many waters.
16 Οὗτοί εἰσι γογγυσταὶ, μεμψίμοιροι, κατὰ τὰς ἐπιθυμίας αὐτῶν πορευόμενοι· καὶ τὸ στόμα αὐτῶν λαλεῖ ὑπερογκα, θαυμάζοντες πρόσωπα, ὠφελείας χάριν.
16 And He had in His right hand seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His face was like the sun shining in its strength.
17 Ὑμεῖς δέ ἀγαπητοί, μνήσθητε τῶν ῥημάτων τῶν προειρημένων ὑπὸ τῶν ἀποστόλων τοῦ Κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ,
17 And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, "Do not fear; I am the first and the last.
18 Ὅτι ἔλεγον ὑμῖν ὅτι ἐν ἐσχάτου χρόνου ἔσονται ἐμπαῖκται, κατὰ τὰς ἑαυτῶν ἐπιθυμίας πορευόμενοι τῶν ἀσεβειῶν.
18 I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of hell and of death."
19 Οὗτοί εἰσιν οἱ ἀποδιορίζοντες ἑαυτοὺς ψυχικοὶ, πνεῦμα μὴ ἔχοντες.
19 "Write the things that you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that shall be hereafter.
20 Ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀγαπητοί, τῇ ἁγιωτάτῃ ὑμῶν πίστει ἐποικοδομοῦντες ἑαυτοὺς, ἐν Πνεύματι ἁγίῳ προσευχόμενοι
20 The mystery of the seven stars that you saw in My right hand and the seven golden candlesticks: the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks that you saw are the seven churches."
21 Ἑαυτοὺς ἐν ἀγάπῃ Θεοῦ τηρήσατε, προσδεχόμενοι τὸ ἔλεος τοῦ Κυρίου ὐμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, εἰς ζωὴν αἰώνιον.
22 καὶ οὓς μὲν ἐλεεῖτε διακρινομένοι,
23 Οὓς δὲ ἐν φόβῳ σωζετε, ἐκ τοῦ πυρὸς ἁρπάζοντες, μισοῦντες καὶ τὸν ἀπὸ τῆς σαρκὸς ἐσπιλωμένον χιτῶνα.
24 Τῷ δὲ δυναμένῳ φυλάξαι ὑμᾶς ἀπταίστους, καὶ στῆσαι κατενώπιον τῆς δόξης αὐτοῦ ἀμώμους ἐν ἀγαλλιάσει,
25 Μόνῳ σοφῷ Θεῷ σωτῆρι ἡμῶν δόξα καὶ μεγαλωσύνη, κράτος καὶ ἐξουσία, καὶ νῦν εἰς πάντας τοὺς αἰῶνας. Ἀμήν.
