In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first [day] of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

かくて安息日(あんそくび)の終(おわ)り、週(しゅう)に首(はじめ)〔の日(にち)〕に向(むか)ひて薄暗(うすぐら)かりしとき、マグダラのマリアと別(べつ)のマリアとは墓(はか)を看(み)んとて到れり。

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

また見(み)よ、大(おお)いなる地震発(じしんはつ)れり。そは主(おも)の使(つか)、天(てん)より降(お)りて進(すす)み来(きた)り、石(いし)を入(い)り口(ぐち)より転(まろ)ばし除(の)け、且つその上に坐したればなり。

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

またその容子(ようこ)は雷(いかずち)の如(ごと)く、またその衣(ころも)は雪(ゆき)の如(ごと)く白(しろ)し。

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead [men].

されば彼(かれ)の懼(く)より、護(まも)れる者(もの)ども慄(おのの)き、且(か)つ死人(しにん)の如(ごと)くなれり。

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

然(しか)るに天使答(てんしこたえ)へて婦等(ふなら)にいへり、汝等(なんじら)は懼(く)るる勿(なか)れ。そはわれ汝等(なんじら)の十字架(じゅうじか)につけられ給(たま)ひしイエスを索(さく)むることを知(し)ればなり。

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

彼は此処におはさず。そは彼の曰ひし如く起き給(たま)ひたればなり。いざ来れ。主の置かれ給ひし場所を見よ。

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

且つ速(すみやか)に往きて、死人の「うちより彼の起き給い￥ひしことをその弟子等にいへ。また見よ、彼は汝等に先立ちてガリラヤに往き給ふ。彼処にて汝等は彼を目のあたり見るべし。見よ、われ汝等にいへり。

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

乃(すなわ)ち大(おお)いなる懼(く)と喜(よろし)とをもて速(そく)に墓(はか)より出(で)で来(きた)りて、弟子等(でしら)に報(ほう)ぜんとて彼等(かれら)は走(はし)れり。

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

かくて彼等は弟子等に報ぜんとて往きつつありしとき、また見よ、イエス彼等に逢ひて、云ひ(い)給(たま)ひけるは、慶(めでた)し。乃(すなわ)ち彼等進み来りその足を拘(とら)へたり、且つ彼に平伏(ひれふ)せり。

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

そのときイエス彼等に云ひ給ふ、懼るる勿れ、往け。我が兄弟等にガリラヤに往け、と告げよ。されば彼等は彼処にて我を目のあたり見るべし。

Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

また彼等(かれら)の往(ゆ)きつつありしとき、見(み)よ、番兵(ばんぺい)のうちの或(あ)る者等(ものら)、市(し)に到(いた)りて、発(はつ)りしすべての事(こと)を祭司長等(さいしちょうら)に報(ほう)じたり。

And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

されば彼等(かれら)は長老等(ちょうろうら)と共(とも)に集(あつ)まりて協議(きょうぎ)を開(ひら)き、多(おお)くの銀子(ぎんす)を兵士等(へいしら)に与(あた)へて、

Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him [away] while we slept.

云(い)ひけるは、我等(われら)の眠(ねむ)れるとき、彼(かれ)の弟子等来(でしらきた)り夜(よる)に乗(じょう)じて彼(かれ)を盗(ぬす)みたり、といへ。

And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

また此の事もし太守に聞えなば、我等彼を説き勧めん。かくて汝等を心遣ひなからしむべし。　　　　　　

15.
So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

乃ち彼等は銀子を取りて教へられたる如く為したり、されば此の言、今日に至るまでユダヤ人に添ふて云ひ触らさるるなり。

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

かくて十一(じゅういち)の弟子等(でしら)はガリラヤに、イエスの彼等(かれら)に指(さ)し示(しめ)し給(たま)ひし山(やま)に往(おう)けり。

And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

また彼等(かれら)は彼(かれ)を見(み)て平伏(へいふく)したり。されど或(あ)る人々(ひとびと)は疑(うたが)へり。

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

かくてイエス進(すす)み来(きた)りて彼等(かれなど)に話(はなし)たりて、云(い)ひ給(たま)ひけるは、天(てん)のうちにまた地(ち)の上(うえ)のすべての権(けん)は我(われ)に与(あた)へられたり。

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

是(これ)の故(ゆえ)に往きてすべての国人に我の汝等に命ぜしすべての事を護るやうに教へ、父(ちち)と子(こ)と聖霊(せいれい)の名(な)に入(はい)れて、彼等をバプテズマして、弟子とせよ。

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

また見(み)よ、我(われ)は世(よ)の完成(かんせい)までかねての日(ひ)、汝等(なんじら)の内(うち)に在(あ)り。アメン。
