== History ==
It once belonged to the Cardinal [[Domenico Silvio Passionei|Passionei]]. The manuscript was examined by [[Bernard de Montfaucon|Montfaucon]],[7] [[Giuseppe Bianchini|Bianchini]],[8] by [[Andrew Birch|Birch]] (James and 1 Corinthians),[9] [[Johann Martin Augustin Scholz|Scholz]] (all codex),[10] and Ferdinand Fleck in 1833.[2] It was collated by [[Constantin von Tischendorf|Tischendorf]] in 1843 and Tregelles in 1846.[11] It was examined by G. Mucchio.

Wettstein and Scholz designated it by siglum G. The same siglum used Tischendorf, but in the 7th edition of his Novum Testamentum he used L.[2] Gregory gave the number 020 to it.

The name of the codex came from the library in [[Rome]] where it is located now, at the [[Biblioteca Angelica]] (No. 39).[1][12]
