'''Minuscule 435''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), ε 1031 (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Von Soded|Soden]] numbering), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. [[Paleography|Paleographically]] it had been assigned to the 12th or 13th century.[1]

== Description ==

The codex contains only the text of the [[Gospel of Luke]] 1:5-6:21 on 286 parchment leaves (30 cm by 19.8 cm) with some [[Lacuna (manuscript)|lacunae]] (Matthew 1:20-2:13; 22:4-9; John 10:14-21:25). Written in one column per page, in 28-30 lines per page.[1] It contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections (not [[Eusebian Canons]]), and pictures. Lectionary markings and αναγνωσεις were added by a later hand.[2]

== History ==

The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by [[Johann Martin Augustin Scholz|Scholz]] (1794-1852).[4]

285 leaves of the codex are currently housed at the [[Leiden University Library]] (Gronov. 137) in [[Leiden]].

1 leaf of the codex (Matthew 22:4-19) was classified as minuscule 576 (Gregory-Aland). Currently it is housed at the [[Arundel Castle]] and belongs to the [[Duke of Norfolk]] (M.D. 459).[1]
