'''Minuscule 391''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), A128 ([[Biblical manuscript#Von Soden|Soden]]), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. Dated by a [[Colophon (publishing)|colophon]] to the year 1055.[1]

== Description ==

The codex contains the text of the four [[Gospel]]s on 232 parchment leaves (29.1 cm by 23.2 cm) with [[Lacuna (manuscript)|lacunae]] (Matt. 1:1-8; Luke 1). Written in one column per page, in 21 lines per page.[1] It contains [[Epistula ad Carpianum]], Prolegomena, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, [[Eusebian Canons]], and a commentary.[1]

It did not contain the pericope [[Jesus and the woman taken in adultery|John 7:53-8:11]]. It was added in 15th century.[2]

== History ==

The manuscript was given to [[Pope Benedict XIII]] (1724-1730) by Abbachum Audriani, an abbot of [[Mount Athos|Athos]].[2]

The manuscript was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by [[Johannes Martin Augustinus Scholz|Scholz]] (1794-1852).[3]

The manuscript is currently housed at the [[Vatican Library]] (Ottob. gr. 432) in [[Rome]].[1]
