'''Minuscule 340''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), ε 416 ([[Biblical manuscript#Von Soden|Soden]]), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. [[Palaeography|Palaeographically]] it had been assigned to the 14th century.[1]

== Description ==

The codex contains a complete text of the four [[Gospel]]s on 243 parchment leaves (14.8 cm by 10.6 cm). Written in one column per page, in 21-22 lines per page.[1] It contains tables of κεφαλαια. It has a lot of later corrections.[2]
Τhe κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, lectionary markings, and incipits were added by a later hand.[2][3]

== History ==

The manuscript was examined by Pasino, Scholz, and [[Dean Burgon|Burgon]]. It was added to the list of New Testament manuscripts by [[Johann Martin Augustin Scholz|Scholz]] (1794-1852).[4]

The manuscript is currently housed at the [[Turin National University Library]] (B. VII. 16) in [[Turin]].[1]
