			Abraham had faithfully obeyed God's command when he was told to sacrifice Isaac, and then God (via the Angel) told him not to do it at the last moment. Obeying what God commands us to do doesn't always end up the way we expect, because this scripture reveals that He can intervene at any time and change the plan. In pursuing things in life that God has said to us, sometimes the journey is what God wanted and not the destination. The obedient heart is what God was looking for and not the sacrifice.
