'''Minuscule 294''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), ε 367 ([[Biblical manuscript#Von Soden|Soden]]), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. Dated by a [[Colophon (publishing)|colophon]] to the year 1391 (or 1291 - Scrivener, Gregory).<sup>[1]</sup> == Description == The codex contains the text of the four [[Gospel]]s on 238 parchment leaves (11.5 cm by 8.8 cm), with [[Lacuna (manuscript)|lacunae]] (Matt. 1:18-11:14). Written in one column per page, in 19-24 lines per page.<sup>[1]</sup> It contains Prolegomena, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, [[Eusebian Canons]], lectionary markings, and pictures.<sup>[2]</sup> The manuscripts has subscription: <blockquote> το παρον τετραβαγγελον εκομισθει εκ της πατμω βιβλιοθηκης, παρ' εμου ιωσηφ γεωργειρηνη ταπεινου αρχιεπισκοπου σαμου και επεδωθει τω ευσεβεστατω και κραταιω βασιλει λοδοβικω τω μεγα εν ετουσ χυ αχος μαρτιου κε.<sup>[3]</sup> </blockquote> The same subscription has the codex [[Minuscule 279|279]].<sup>[3]</sup> == History == The manuscript was written by Peter, a monk, in Jerusalem.
