'''Minuscule 155''' (in the [[Biblical manuscript#Gregory-Aland|Gregory-Aland]] numbering), ε 403 ([[Biblical manuscript#Von Soden|Soden]]), is a [[Greek language|Greek]] [[Lower case|minuscule]] [[manuscript]] of the [[New Testament]], on parchment. [[Paleography|Paleographically]] it had been assigned to the 13th century.<sup>[1]</sup> 

== Description ==

The codex contains a complete text of the four [[Gospel]]s on 307 parchment leaves (size 15.3 cm by 11.3 cm).<sup>[1]</sup> Written in one column per page, in 20 lines per page.<sup>[1]</sup> 

It contains κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, Ammonian Sections, [[Synaxarion|synaxaria]], subscriptions, and [[Stichometry|στιχοι]].<sup>[2]</sup> Some lessons from Paul prefixed.<sup>[3]</sup>

== Text ==
The Greek text of the codex is a representative of the [[Byzantine text-type]]. [[Kurt Aland|Aland]] placed it in [[Categories of New Testament manuscripts#Category V|Category]].<sup>[4]</sup> It belongs to the textual family [[Family Kr|K<sup>r</sup>]].<sup>[5]</sup> 

== History ==

It was given by [[André Rivet|Andreas Rivetus]] to [[Janus Rutgersius|Rutgersius]] (1589-1625), Swedish Embassador to the [[Netherlands|United Provinces]].<sup>[3]</sup> It belonged to [[Daniel Heinsius]] and Nicholas Heinsius.<sup>[2]</sup> It was cited by Daniel Heinsius, as Codex Rutgersii, in his ''Exercitationes sacrae in Evangel.'' (1639)<sup>[3]</sup> After Nicholas Heinsius it belonged to Queen [[Christina of Sweden]] and Cardinal [[Pietro Ottoboni]].<sup>[6]</sup> 

Heinsius, one of its owner, worked on the [[Textus Receptus]] of the Greek New Testament for Elzeviers edition (1624, 1633), than influence of the codex 155 on the Textus Receptus is possible. According to Jonge it is possible only in 12 places, but all of this changes can be explained by the influence of the [[Complutensian Polyglot Bible|Complutensian Polyglotte]].<sup>[6]</sup> 

It was examined by [[Johann Jakob Wettstein|Wettstein]], [[Andrew Birch|Birch]], [[Johann Martin Augustin Scholz|Scholz]], Gregory (1886),<sup>[2]</sup> Jonge. Wettstein designated it by number 99.<sup>[3]</sup> 

It is currently housed at the [[Vatican Library]] (Reg. gr. 79), at [[Rome]].<sup>[1]</sup>
