'''Allen Paul Wikgren''' ([[Chicago]], December 3, 1906 – [[Woodruff, Wisconsin]] May 7, 1998) was an American Bible scholar.<sup>[1]</sup>

Allen Wikgren (A.B.'28, A.M.'29, Ph.D.'32) was Professor Emeritus in the Divinity School, University of Chicago.

Wikgren was a minister at First Baptist Church in [[Belleville, Kansas]], and professor at Central Baptist Theological Seminary and Ottawa University in [[Ottawa, Kansas]], then in 1940 joining the [[University of Chicago Divinity School]] as the [[John Merlin Powis Smith|J.M. Powis Smith]] Instructor.

Together with [[Bruce Metzger]], [[Kurt Aland]], and [[Carlo Maria Martini]] he was on the [[Editorial Committee of the United Bible Societies' Greek New Testament]] for 3rd ed. The Greek New Testament, [[Novum Testamentum Graece]], "UBS3".

Wikgren was a member of the [[Revised Standard Version]] committee from 1952.
